Eco-fita / Eco-ribbon

Olá, olá. Todos os anos (normalmente em fins de Abril ou início de Maio) surgem-me pedidos para assinar fitas de fim de curso. Para (não) variar, acabo sempre por personalizar as fitas que assino. Acreditem que para mim é desafio trabalhar numa superfície tão pequena (e de tecido...). Como Maio já tinha passado, pensei que este ano não teria de aplicar nessa tarefa. Puro engano, pois no espaço de uma semana surgiram, não um, mas dois pedidos. Toca a procurar as tintas de tecido, os "micro-pincéis" e, principalmente, a inspiração. E, assim, aqui fica o primeiro resultado:

Hi. Every year (usually in late Abril or beginning of May) I get requests to sign academic ribbons. As one would expect, I tend to customize all the ribbons that I sign. Believe me when I say that (at least for me) it is trully a challenge - working in such a small surface (and in satiny fabric no less...). Since May had already come and gone, I thought that this year there would be no need to apply myself to that task. Never was I so wrong because within the same week not one but two requets came my way. So there I went again on my quest for fabric paints, "microbrushes" and, most of all, for inspiration. And so here is the first result:

Fita de finalista / Graduation ribbon

Continuando no assunto dos presentes embora, neste caso, só a embalagem seja reciclada, aqui fica um para uma amiga que acabou recentemente o curso. Ela pediu-me para assinar uma das fitas de finalista e (vergonha, vergonha) só agora a entreguei. O timing até não foi muito mau, tendo em conta que ela defendeu a tese esta semana e teve uma excelente nota. Resolvi oferecer-lhe um bouquet das flores preferidas dela – mas um que não murchasse ;)

Still on the subject of presents although , in this case only the “wrapping” was recycled, here is one for a friend that recently graduated from the university. She asked me to sign the traditional graduate students’ ribbons  and (shame, shame) I only finished it now. My timing was actually good because she presented her thesis this week and with an excellent grade. So I decided for a bouquet of her favorite flowers – one  that would not wither ;)
